Version 0.2 changes eol(1) to treat LF CR as a single line break.

This small collection of utilities should build on any contemporary Unix-like system; however, they have recently all been rewritten from scratch, and have therefore not been exercised as thoroughly as the previous versions. There might even, in rare cases, be non-backwards-compatible changes in command line options or behaviour, until the version number hits 1.0.

They are written in C90. The Makefile should work with both pmake (BSD make) and GNU make, and probably others.

The man pages are written using mdoc. If your system doesn't have mdoc, get the preformatted pages instead, and put them in (e.g.) /usr/local/man/cat1
